SECA is excited to offer a hands-on play workshop on Saturday April 12th from 9:00 am- 12:00 pm at the Ecole Centennial School, 2210 Woodrow Lloyd Place, Swift Current, SK, S9H 5R2
Justine Wheeler (SK Educator & Outdoor Play Educator) from SaskOutdoors will be joining us for the morning and invites you to come and Explore Outdoor Play!
You will learn the how-tos and benefits of outdoor play. We will discuss risky play and connections to the play and exploration guide. Learn about the 5 different types of play and how they can be applied to the outdoors. Be ready to go outside as you learn hands-on activities to take back to your facility. Leave this session with resources and ideas!
*Please dress appropriately as we will be going outside, in case of bad weather we will stay inside

Registration must be PAID IN FULL by 4 pm on April 7th, 2025. Registrations not paid for by this time and day will be automatically cancelled.
SECA does not offer refunds for professional development registrations. If you are unable to attend a professional development event that you have registered for, you can send someone in your place as a substitute. Please contact Melissa Carson at SECA at 306-842-0010 or pd@seca-sk.org. Substitutions must be made by noon the day prior to the workshop.
Only events until the end of March 2025 have been approved for the PD Grant. When the 2025-2026 PD Grant is announced by the Ministry of Education, SECA will request eligibility for the Swift Current Outdoor Play workshop, as well as any future events we plan. Members will be updated on PD grant eligibility at that time.
