SECA invites Centres to register for Strategies for Creating a Cohesive Team with Julie Hansen.
Establishing strategies that support a cohesive team culture is an essential part of management. Gain a clear understanding of each team members' communications style. Create individual and program goals, develop a team mission statement and learn the importance of setting aside time to connect with each team member. Understand the power of reflection and the importance of acknowledging team effort on a regular basis. These are all effective management strategies that support teamwork.
Meet Julie Hansen, Early Childhood Educator, Consultant and Author.
Julie has been an Early Childhood Educator for 20 years, having received her Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Douglas College. Since then, Julie has gained experience in a variety of areas within the field of Early Childhood Education: Director of a preschool, supervisor of after-school care as well as 3-5 and Infant Toddler programs and centre management. Julie's primary focus has evolved to encompass team leadership, management training and program development. She has had articles published in provincial and national ECE journals on the topic of emergent curriculum and leadership. Julie's goal as an Early Childhood Educator and facilitator is to support fellow educators and early years professionals in providing high-quality early learning experiences for children and families

Registration must be PAID IN FULL by 4 pm on May 9th, 2025. Registrations not paid for by this time and day will be automatically cancelled and no link for the event will be sent.
SECA does not offer refunds for professional development registrations. If you are unable to attend a professional development event that you have registered for, you can send someone in your place as a substitute.
